    We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Online Marketeer for our European headquarter. You will work together with the Marketing Manager and you will have close cooperation with the local R&D, Support and the international Sales team. This job includes several responsibilities:

    • Actively assist in creating marketing strategies

    Finance Manager

    Do you want to be responsible for making financial reports and communication with offices abroad in order to consolidate the figures for the group?

    We are looking for a Finance Manager in Hoofddorp. You report to the Chief Financial Officer and you will work closely with the local finance team and the finance members of our subsidiaries worldwide. You will be in charge of one accounting employee.

    Key areas of responsibility will be the monthly financial reporting and consolidation of the 17 subsidiaries. Be accountable for a smooth process of the quarterly reviews and year end audit by our auditors. Maintain and improve internal controls and comply with JSOX regulations.

    In this role you will be the key business partner for the Chief Financial Officer.

    Responsibilities:

    • Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
    • Consolidation of financial figures of the 17 subsidiaries in accordance with IFRS
    • Monthly balance sheet and P&L Fluctuation Analysis
    • Prepare all reconciliations (intercompany, inventory)
    • Prepare financial reports for Management
    • Monitor operations of Accountant responsible for AP, AR & VAT
    • Prepare and analyze business cases and advice management
    • Work closely together with other departments, analyze results and propose improvements
    • Monitor JSOX compliance policies
    • Assist in monitoring transfer pricing policy

    Profile

    • Minimum of 5 year’s experience in an accounting firm, ideally combined with a few years experience as accountant or financial controller at an international company;
    • Technical consolidation skills; experience with consolidation of multiple subsidiaries is a plus;
    • Advanced Excel skills;

    Systems Engineer

    The Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting Opticon’s technical products in a support role for the sales team and will work with potentially new and current customers. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in automation systems, automation controls, or application engineering (preferably in the industrial automation marketplace) and will have had a few years of experience working directly with customers. Travel may be required anytime and on a moment’s notice. Candidate must have a valid passport.

     

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Past work experience as a technical sales engineer, application engineer, customer support engineer, or systems integration engineer.
    • BS, BA, EE, CS, or equivalent experience preferred in a Scientific/Technical discipline.
    • Have strong presentation & communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
    • Aptitude with multiple disciplines of a technical product: hardware, software, lasers, optics, and mechanical aspects; also have some experience with Network systems and some database knowledge.
    • A passion to learn and continually expand their technical knowledge by testing and working on new electronic products that are developed and released.
    • Should have past troubleshooting, analytical, technical, problem solving skills.
    • Be able to wire, construct and program automation control systems (PLCs, Controllers, HMIs), such as Allen Bradly, Siemens or Beckhoff.
    • Able to interact well with customers to provide a positive experience, and to provide proactive status and feedback to all stakeholders (including sales and management).
    • Should be organized & have some multi-tasking skills, shifting gears when needed.

    • Is able to design schematics/ PCB circuits.

    Primary Duties:

    • Become an expert technical engineer in the North American region for scan modules and new products for Opticon, Inc.  This may include installation and setup and a rare occasion for some on-site customer support when needed.
    • Be able to quickly learn the technical aspects of new products as they become available.  This may include some preliminary testing and reporting back the findings to the development engineers.
    • Work directly with the sales team and customers as a technical support during all phases of the sales cycles:  pre-qualification, procurement, problem resolution, and product End of Life.
    • Work with marketing, operations and management on non-customer specific applications, which may include:  testing, provisioning, product demonstrations, trade show assistance, general sales purposes, and expanding existing product lines into new and existing markets.
    • Work with customers and internal customer support teams to provide innovative solutions to bugs or problems arising from software or the integration of scanner hardware into customer’s business processes; own the escalated issues and drive them to resolution quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
    • Create “Application Notes” and produce other technical document
    • Work with engineering on new product development tasks.
    • May be required to help with duties not normal to this position: ie. inventory, helpdesk, IT help
    • Create or Assist with technical documents, user instructions, videos and other technical documentation.
    • Assist with competitive analyses by benchmark testing Opticon products against similar devices.
    • Set up and run test equipment and systems for engineering analysis when needed.
    • Collect information for software development requests.
    • Assist other departments as needed.

    Technical Sales Engineer (Systems Engineer)-East Coast

    Opticon Inc. has an open position for a Technical Sales Engineer that is located on the East side of the U.S.  This position is a work-from-home (Home office) opportunity; however travel and stay for a few days to the Headquarters in Renton, WA., may be occasionally required.   Travel and hotel stays to trade shows and customer sites may also be required on occasion.  Travel would probably not exceed 15%.

     

    The Technical Sales/Systems Engineer will be considered the technical expert for all of Opticon products.  They will be responsible for both pre-sales and post-sales technical support for both current and potential new customers.  This person will work closely with the USA Sales Team and provide them with any needed technical documents, advice, or support they may need.     Travel may be required anytime and on a moment’s notice.  Candidate must be a US citizen and have a valid passport.

    • Will have clinical / lab automation background
    • Have an Electronics or Electromechanical Engineering background.
    • Could be able to draw mechanical CAD drawings, draw schematics and/or do PCB layout.

     

    Primary Duties:

    • Work directly with the sales team and customers as a technical support during all phases of the sales cycles:  pre-qualification, procurement, problem resolution, and product End of Life.
    • Become THE technical expert engineer in the Americas for all of the Opticon, Inc. line of products.  This may include installation and setup and a rare occasion for some on-site customer support to fix problems when needed.
    • Be able to quickly learn the technical aspects of new products as they become available.  This may include some preliminary testing and reporting back the findings to the development engineers.
    • Work with marketing, operations and management on non-customer specific applications, which may include:  testing, provisioning, product demonstrations, trade show assistance, general sales purposes, and expanding existing product lines into new and existing markets.
    • Work with customers and internal customer support teams to provide innovative solutions to bugs or problems arising from software or the integration of scanner hardware into customer’s business processes; own the escalated issues and drive them to resolution quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
    • Provide feedback to engineering on revisions, improvements ideas or new product development requests.
    • May be called on to assist with the creation of documents, user instructions, videos and other technical documentation.
    • Assist with competitive analyses by benchmark testing Opticon products against similar devices.
    • Set up and run test equipment and systems for engineering analysis when needed to determine root-cause analysis.
    • Write-up reports, Root-Cause-Analysis, and other documentation for both internal use and external customer-use documentation.
